Contact Center Representative I

Our Contact Center Representative will primarily be responsible for providing general and account information in a pleasant, efficient manner via telephone and other electronic delivery channels.  This individual will research and solve member questions and issues concerning credit union accounts as well as verifying accounts and cross-selling credit union products and services.  This individual will answer questions regarding share accounts, share drafts, credit and debit cards, IRA’s, and certificates.  Our Contact Center Representative will also process payments on share draft accounts as well as other transactions set forth within the Credit Union’s Policies and Procedures.

Critical Knowledge, Skills and Educational Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of one year to three years of similar or related experience in a bank and/or credit union.
  • Excellent telephone etiquette and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Must be dependable and reliable.
  • Must pass all credit and bond requirements.
  • In depth knowledge of Credit Union products and services is a plus.

Member Solutions Specialist I

Our Member Solutions Specialist is responsible for providing solutions that assist members in bringing their loans and negative balance deposit accounts to good standing.  This team member ensures adherence to EFCU Financials’ Member Solutions Policies and Procedures as well as state and federal laws and regulations.

Critical Knowledge, Skills and Educational Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 to 5 years experience in collections at a depository financial institution preferred. Prior Credit Union experience is highly desirable. 
  • Knowledge of:
  • Credit Union or regulated financial institution operations, policies and procedures.
  • Federal and State financial institution laws and regulations pertaining to deposit, loan and electronic products and services.
    • Ability to respond to a competitive and rapidly changing financial service environment.
    • Ability to effectively manage many accounts simultaneously.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to project professional and business-like image on behalf of the Credit Union.
    • Must be dependable and reliable.
    • Must pass all credit and bond requirements.

Personal Financial Officer I

Our Personal Financial Officer serves as liaison between the member and the Credit Union. This individual is responsible for processing member transactions and maintaining a cash drawer, providing account information, opening new accounts, and processing loan applications as well as provides limited transactions to Credit Union Cooperative Branch (CUCB) guest members in a prompt and accurate manner. The Personal Financial Officer attends to all telephone, online and walk-in inquiries from members. Other responsibilities include preparing loan applications and other documentation necessary for completing loan files, funding approved loans, completing adverse action letters, and maintaining Lending Department files. This individual is expected to assist members in a professional and courteous manner with any and all questions or challenges.

Critical Knowledge, Skills and Educational Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 1 year of related experience in lending and/or member services with full-service financial institution and/or training; or equivalent combination of education.
  • Good understanding of member services, loan services, polices, and procedures and products provided.
  • Understanding of member bookkeeping procedures, of related legal and regulatory standards, and required loan documentation.
  • Understanding of related legal and regulatory standards and required loan documentation.
  • Knowledge of consumer and residential lending practices, and credit union products and services with a thorough understanding of Real Estate Lending.
  • Interpersonal skills including trust, diplomacy, courtesy, and tactfulness in working with others.
  • Excellent interview skills, written and verbal communication skills, and public relations skills.
  • Effective decision-making skills, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Skilled in multi-tasking.

Summer Internship Program – ElevateU at EFCU Financial

EFCU Financial, a dynamic credit union with a 90-year history of growth in Baton Rouge, LA, is pleased to announce a new internship program for the summer of 2025 called “ElevateU.”  As a multi-year winner of Best Places to Work in Baton Rouge, EFCU Financial believes that great member experiences start with great team member experiences.  We are seeking Interns who are ready to contribute their talents to this winning team and who are eager to make a difference for our members and the communities we serve. 

As an ElevateU Intern, you will have hands-on experience in the financial sector while also learning the professional skills you need to jumpstart your career!

Internships may be in one of the following focus areas: Audit, Finance/Accounting, Lending, Marketing, Human Resources, and Operations.  

What to expect:

  • Hands-on Experience in a Focus Area
  • Professional Development
  • Introduction to Credit Unions
  • Community Service Project(s)
  • Senior Leadership Interactions

This is an 8-week program beginning June 2, 2025, through July 25, 2025 (excluding holidays).  The hours of ElevateU will be 8:00 am – 3:00 pm Monday through Thursday including a 1-hour lunch and 8:00 am – 12:00 pm on Fridays.*  Interns will be non-exempt hourly team members and will be compensated $17/hr. 

*Hours are subject to change and would be communicated at the time of hire.

Requirements:

·       Students currently enrolled in an accredited Louisiana College/University in good standing.

·       Anticipated Junior or Senior status for Fall 2025.

·       At least one course in the relevant focus area.

·       Overall grade point average of 3.0 or above.

·       Must be dependable and reliable.

·       Maintain excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrate empathetic and tactful behavior when working with team members and members.

·       A desire to learn and initiative with problem solving.

·       Must pass all credit and bond requirements.
